2016 Dry Riesling

Flinty minerality and fresh apricots on the nose, followed by a burst of tangerines on the palate and a crisp, refreshing finish.

Aromas of flinty minerality, apricots and pear blossoms on the nose, followed by a burst of nectarines and tangerines on the palate. The long finish is racy, dry, and refreshing.
This wine is made from grapes grown on the following vineyards in New York's Finger Lakes AVA: 31% Nutt Road Vineyard, Seneca Lake (West side); 29% Patrician Verona Vineyard, Cayuga Lake (West side), 21% Seneca East Vineyard, Seneca Lake (East side), 19% Paul's Legacy Vineyard, Skaneateles Lake (West side).
The 2016 vintage began with a mild winter, followed by a late April bud break and early June bloom. Spring and summer were exceptionally hot and dry in the Finger Lakes. Some well-timed rain in September allowed the grapes to reach full maturity prior to harvest. The vintage yielded fruit with incredible flavor intensity and produced Rieslings with expressive vibrancy and harmonious balance. Harvested fruit was basket pressed and chilled. Fermentation lasted 62 days at 53 degrees in stainless steel tanks.
Enjoy with fresh shucked kumamoto oysters on the half-shell, pan-seared sesame tuna over wilted arugula greens, or roasted pork tenderloin with fennel and meyer lemon.
