Crafted from grapes grown on Nutt Road Vineyard (30%) on Seneca Lake's West side, and Seneca East Vineyard (70%) on Seneca Lake's East side.
The 2020 vintage began with a mild winter and spring on par with regional averages. After a frost scare in early May, the remainder of the growing season was simply flawless. Summer weather was sunny, hot, and dry with low precipitation. This ideal weather continued into Autumn allowing us to pick the Riesling grapes at optimal ripeness and perfect balance.
Harvested fruit was basket pressed and chilled. Fermentation lasted for an average of 76 days at 53 degrees in stainless steel tanks.
Enjoy with a baby greens salad topped with pears, walnuts, and fresh chèvre or a sautéed halibut in brown butter topped with a citrus-herb gremolata.
