Hedrick vineyard is a limited production Estate reserve selection from our limestone rich vineyard on the East side of Cayuga Lake. Grapes are sustainably farmed with no herbicide or insecticide. The vineyard is located at the lowest elevation on our site, and features our deepest soils. Beautiful raspberry notes on the nose, followed by dark cherries on the palate, and a deliciously long finish.

The Hedrick Vineyard is located at the lowest elevation on our Estate next to the winding lane that leads to the winery. It features a gentle slope and the deepest soils on our site. The vines and soil overlay the Onondaga limestone bedrock that provides the plants with optimal nutrients and allows the Pinot Noir to flourish. The vineyard is farmed sustainably, forgoing the use of herbicides or insecticides.
The vineyard name honors U.P. Hedrick, who grew and researched vinifera grapes at the Cornell Experiment station in the late 1800's. His pioneering publications provided insight and guidance on how to successfully grow vinifera in cool climates.
